The video for Florence + The Machine's beautiful new song, 'St. Jude', has appeared online. Watch it below.
Speaking of the song at a gig, Welch credited her producer Marcus Dravs for championing the song and looking after her during a troubled year: "During that year I had all these storms that kept following me around, real ones and emotional ones. And this one is about both of those things."
The video echoes this sentiment, opening with Welch standing open-armed as a flock of starlings fly in the sky, before a rainstorm erupts and the camera pans to her drenched and barely conscious in a man's arms.
Directed by Vincent Haycock, the video is the second of an ongoing collaborative project between Haycock and Welch, which started with 'What Kind Of Man', and will extend through the album's life. Every video will explore the same world and will form part of a bigger narrative.
