Featuring the singer's translucent face imposed over rural America
Beck has released a music video for song 'Country Down', from his GRAMMY-winning album, Morning Phase. Check it out below.
The veteran rocker, who released the album in February last year, shared the video on Youtube. Featuring selected lyrics imposed over a translucent montage of both Beck in the studio and the landscape of North America, the video brims with sepia nostalgia that suits the slow-burning country track to a tee, though some might find the overlaid images and words too muddled to be effective.
Beck released Morning Phase last year, and in February won Best Rock Album and Album of the Year at the Grammys. Of the album, Beck told Clash magazine: "I do feel it’s a fresh start record. I think it sums up something, and for me I’ve gone through a long period of physical challenges, and that’s really been something I’ve put a lot of time and work into getting through. So, that went into the music. And it wasn’t an easy time."
