More about: Bear's Den
If you lived through 2020, you might reasonably ask the question: what the fuck was that?
It's not been a normal one, that's for sure, and the time it will take to reckon with what's happened will stretch far into the future. Let's start by looking at how we spent the weirdest year in living memory.
We collared a bunch of our favourite bands and artists and asked them questions about how they experienced the year that all of us will remember forever.

Today, Andrew Davies of Bear's Den takes the quiz.
How are you, really?
Doing ok. Think i'm over the existential hump of the pandemic and into the 'Nothing's really gonna change for a while so accept it and start working again' phase of dealing with it. In reality, I'm really lucky to still be able to focus on music so just trying to write songs and keep busy.
Did you watch Tiger King back in March?
It was perhaps the most significant thing I did all year.
What else did you binge watch?
The Crown was epic, I re-watched all of Peep Show - worth every second. Re-watching Curb Your Enthusiasm which is still probably my favourite TV show of all time.
What did you drink and eat too much of?
All the beer at first and then all the pizza. Sometimes in a different order to mix things up.
Describe a joyful moment.
Getting to record our EP with all the lads and just hang out together for a few days was really special.
Did you take up a new hobby?
Playing piano is a pretty new thing... I'm really enjoying learning & apparently baking mince pies is now a new thing.
What's the best thing you read in quarantine?
Struggled with reading and staying focused a lot this year but Lanny by Max Porter was a highlight. Along with Summer by Ali Smith. Stupidly, I was reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy and The Uninhabitable Earth by David Wallace-Wells just before the pandemic hit and they both kinda scared me off reading too much.
What's the best album you heard in quarantine?
Folklore and now Evermore are both so brilliant. Taylor Swift's songs with Aaron Dessner's production is an awesome combo. Adrianne Lenker's new album: think I've listened to 'Zombie Girl' about a million times. It's perfect! Field Guide is awesome!!! Also the new Staves & Flyte songs sound incredible. Can't wait for both of their records to come out.
What did you miss the most?
Simple stuff - Mainly the pub with friends. Hugging. I'm a hugger and the struggle was real this year.
The Christmas, Hopefully EP is out now via Communion Recorda.
