Our generation’s love song turns four today! Wolf Alice’s slice of gold, ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’ celebrates its birthday as we all sit and cry. Why? Because it’s so damn beautiful.

By writing their most goosebump-inducing piece of art and dropping it four years ago to the day (5 July), London’s Wolf Alice created one of the most emotive tracks of our time. Taken from Mercury Prize winning album Visions of A Life, ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’ has an emotional ability to make you feel every sentiment under the sun, whether that's emptiness or the warm and fuzzies one - I choose the latter… most of the time.

'Don't Delete The Kisses' follows the perfect narrative of what falling in love actually feels like, making it a complete cinematic experience. It’s a dreamy journey that makes finding love in the real world seem much more complicated than it should, because do people really fall in love like that?

Its accompanying video sees two lovebirds kiss, hug, be happy, and have fun on the Tube, causing quite the stir when it came out. Why? Well, that’s quite literally something we all pine for. We all dream of being goofy on the London Underground with someone we adore and we all want to be kissed in the rain at some point in our life. Admit it.

The video and single show the pitfalls of a relationship too; the doubts we’ve all had swirling in the back of our minds before...but that’s the stunning nature of ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’. It’s natural, raw and truthful. Plus, it's engulfed in so much shimmering indie goodness, it’s a song I’ll never, ever skip.

‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’ gives me hope. There’s someone out there for all of us and we will be loved at some point. Thanks, Wolf Alice for that surge of reassurance today, it’s very much needed and appreciated!
