As someone who’s inspired by a variety of different genres, I think my music is kind of a fusion of everything. If I had to choose two genres for my music, I’d say indie-pop and country-rock.

What kind of stuff can you imagine your music being the soundtrack for?

One of my friends once said that ‘Polaroid’ feels like a soundtrack to a coming of age movie, so, a coming of age movie!

Tell us an older artist and a brand new artist that inspires you.

I’ve been inspired by Stevie Nicks for as long as I can remember, I thought she was the coolest person growing up, I still think that to this day. She's such an amazing songwriter and performer. More recently I’ve discovered a band called The Mysterines, I think they’re sick. Their music is a lot heavier to the music I make but I think Lia Metcalfe’s songwriting and her vocals are just insane, they’re such a good band. I’m also really inspired by Wolf Alice at the minute.

What's the best part of playing live?

I think playing live is the most special thing. When you release a song that you wrote in your bedroom, you don’t really see people’s emotions towards the song until you play it live. There’s no better feeling than seeing someone enjoy your music right in front of you, it’s the weirdest and coolest thing ever.

What other bands tipped by This Feeling this year do you like or looking forward to seeing?

All of the bands that this feeling has tipped this year are insane, I can’t believe how much new talent there is at the moment. I love Lock-in , ROLLA , Rosellas , El Rey, the list goes on forever to be honest , they’re all so sick!
