Good news: the multitalented M.I.A. is back with ‘The One’, a new single that arrives with the news that she has a new album in the works! We don’t have all the details yet, but we can say that MATA, her first album in six years, is on its way.

Signing a new record deal with Island Records, we can expect big things on the way from M.I.A. in what she calls a ‘new era’. ‘The One’ is an earworm that has fans already eager to hear the whole album. While there’s no release date yet, M.I.A. will appear at festivals across Europe this summer, including Primavera Sound’s second weekend on 10 June.
