Before you hear them on the radio, telly, Hot New Bands; before they’ve got a manager or an agent; before you see them smashing the main stages, it's more than likely they'll have played or received early support from This Feeling.

In February, TF shared their annual big list of Ones to Watch in the world of indie music in 2022. Every week, you can meet a new artist that made it onto that list...

If you had to put your music in two genres, which would you choose?

Pop, indie.

What kind of stuff can you imagine your music being the soundtrack for?

I'd absolutely love to have it in a film.

Tell us an older artist and a brand new artist that inspires you.

Kate Bush and Wet Leg.

What's the best part of playing live?

Being in a room with other people who love live music, are enjoying themselves and into what you’re doing. It means a lot when that happens and is really the best feeling ever. It’s all about the audience, always.

Tell us about your latest release.

It’s a song about crying in the bathroom that you can dance to. (I do tend to cry more in toilets than bathrooms but Crying In The Toilet didn’t sound great, in lyrical terms). I was listening to a lot of Pulp at the time and really love how Jarvis Cocker writes lyrics in a conversational/dramatised way with a sense of humour too, so that definitely inspired me.

What have you got coming up?

I’ll be announcing some more shows  and more music very soon. I like trying out songs live first to see what the audience connects with and I’m always working on something, so I’ll be doing lots of that at the gigs. I’m excited for all of it.

What other bands tipped by This Feeling this year do you like or  looking forward to seeing?

Lock-In, Harvey Jay Dodgson, Megan Wyn…to name a few, there’s so many great acts, it’s too hard to pick one!
