Before you hear them on the radio, telly, Hot New Bands; before they’ve got a manager or an agent; before you see them smashing the main stages, it's more than likely they'll have played or received early support from This Feeling.

In February, TF shared their annual big list of Ones to Watch in the world of indie music in 2022. Every week, you can meet a new artist that made it onto that list...

If you had to put your music in two genres, which would you choose?

Pop for sure. There’s no escaping from our melodic tones. And that’s ok! Too much bad rep about pop - a song can be both melodic and gritty and that’s what we aim for. The other genre would be indie and that’s cos we are from an independent label... is that why it’s called indie?! Seems fitting.

What kind of stuff can you imagine your music being the soundtrack for?

Train rides, snowboarding, contemplating.

Tell us an older artist and a brand new artist that inspires you.

Old: Goldfrapp. Beats and synths for days with added GLAMOUR
New: CMAT. Self Esteem. Mysie! Grant Taylor / Money is good too - sunny summer tune!

What's the best part of playing live?

Have you ever played live? If you know, you know. All of it!

Tell us about your latest release.

Comparison Club is a 4 track EP featuring some beautiful mental musings of raw emotion set to some hefty guitar. I suggest you check it out!

What have you got coming up?

We have smashed both Isle of Wight and Glastonbury this year, so looking forward to working on our second EP in the studio with our Oracle Stew Jackson. Would love to get an epic support slot over autumn, that would sort us right out!

What other bands tipped by This Feeling this year do you like or looking forward to seeing?

We did Clwb Ifor Bach with Vega Rally in February: he had a great energy going on and hopefully we get
put on the same bill again one day! Really enjoyed Velvet Starlings at IoW too - great vibe. Gen and the
Degenerates are absolutely smashing it at the moment - their tour with Skunk Anansie is a fab achievement. Women rule!
