Happy Tuesday - and what a better start to a miserable day than with a brilliant new song from David Bowie, eh?
'Blackstar' was written as the theme for the upcoming new TV series The Black Panthers, and it's ace.
A cinematic and haunting lament, it harkens back to some of the most experimental and esoteric moments on Low, but with a shimmering modern production as the Bowie of today in full, statesman voice The Thin White Duke pines: "Only women kneel and smile, at the centre of it all - your eyes."

Johan Renck, director of The Last Panthers, commented: “I showed Mr. Bowie the two first episodes in the rough state they were at the time, and he liked what he saw very much. We discussed the various aspects of the show; naturally the plot line, but also the underlying currents of guilt and personality flaws.
"We talked about the dark heart of Europe. We talked about the biblical aspects of human nature. He asked if there was anything else to see, so I showed him the first concept board i had just made for the title sequence - images from the show laced with chimaeras and demons from the worlds of Bosch and Grunewald. That’s when he said go - it all fits. Then he played me his new song 'Blackstar'.
The Last Panthers will premiere on Sky Atlantic at 9pm on 12 November.
This is Bowie's first taster of new material since the bonus footage on his stunning 2013 comeback album, The Next Day - but Bowie's been a busy man penning music for a Spongebob Squarepants musical and Lazarus - a stage show of his own, based on the iconic film The Man Who Fell To Earth.
He released the compilation box set Five Years last month.
