Tame Impala have unveiled new track 'Eventually', a fresh cut from their forthcoming album Currents. Check it out below
'Eventually' is the latest in a series of previews which have emerged from their forthcoming third LP. The track sees Kevin Parker embracing his pop-side furthermore with bracing chords kicking the track off, which eventually lead into the hopeful chorus of "I know that I'll be happier and I know you will too, eventually." There are glimmers of oriental influence in a soothing instrumental mid-way through and a hypnotising looping outro.
This pop mentality is set to be a blueprint for the rest of the new album. Details of 'Currents' leaked last week on iTunes Japan, these have now been officially confirmed by the band.
The album was produced and written entirely by Kevin Parker, and as taking influence from Hip-Hop production techniques, Michael Jackson's Thriller, 70s funk, Daft Punk's Discovery and 80s balladery with lyrics focused in on relationships and transitions in life.
