Fall Out Boy have admitted that they are aiming to collaborate with 5 Seconds Of Summer, and say the union will happen 'eventually'.
According to talk at the recent Radio 1's Big Weekend, both bands have been trying to get together to create some new music, but have been prevented by time-tabling issues on both parts.
"What’s crazy is we keep trying to have it happen, then it doesn’t happen," frontman Patrick Stump told BBC Radio One.
Guitarist Joe Trohman added: "It’s one of those things... It'll happen eventually."
