Having recently unveiled their new singer Denis Shaforostov, Asking Alexandria have been forced to cancel their UK shows due to visa problems.
The band were set to play dates in both Manchester and London next week but have had to cancel the dates after Denis Shaforostov experienced visa difficulties. The band have confirmed however they will still be in the UK and are happy to meet fans at the venues they were set to play.
“It is with a heavy heart and a great deal of frustration that I must regrettably inform you that our two UK shows have been cancelled due to visa problems," he said in a statement. "We have spent the last few days doing everything we possibly can to make sure that these shows wouldn’t be cancelled but at the end of the day the US government took far longer than anyone could have predicted giving Denis his visa which has left us no time to finish his visa process to enter the UK.
"You have no idea how much we were all looking forward to these shows and I promise you we will make it up to you. Myself, James, Cam and Sam will still be flying to the UK and will be at the venues on the day of each show to hang out with you guys. Bring whatever you want signing, bring a camera and come down and say hi, have some drinks and just generally hang out for a bit.
"I know this by no means makes up for the fact that we have had to cancel the shows but I hope you can understand that it is beyond our control and unfortunately legalities got in the way. Just bring your ticket with you to get into the venue. Your ticket will be refunded automatically by your ticket seller, no need for you to do anything. Contact them if you have any questions however.. As I mentioned before, we will make this up to all of you."
He added: "We have a huge UK tour announcement that you will all be made aware of shortly! Until then, enjoy our brand new single 'I Won’t Give In'. Thank you so much for understanding. We love you guys.”
As previously reported Denis Shaforostov was unveiled this week as the band's nIt seems Dennis was the perfect for this band, and has since been writing for Asking Alexandria's next album, "I had this gut feeling, man; I totally felt something big was going to happen right before the guys reached out to me" he told this week's issue of Kerrang! magazine. "It's crazy. Honestly, I've never been waiting for such an opportunity to ever knock at my door but, as the same time, I was always ready for it."

According to guitarist Ben Bruce, fans already had an inkling that their new member would be the old Make Me Famous singer. "Everyone guessed it was Denis, and I think they did so because they know Denis was the right choice to make. He's an incredibly talented vocalist, from the multiple wide range of screams that Asking Alexandria obviously needs and will continue to have, and his singing and range is out of this world."
"He's been a fan of the band for a long time, so he's familiar with all our old songs, and he really cares about the band. He's a passionate, cool guy; it's the perfect scenario."
Danny Worsnop announced his departure from Asking Alexandria on January 22, and he said in a statement, "Over the last eight years together, we've done some amazing things and created something truly special. I now, same as then, want what's best for the band and at this point in time, that isn't me. Asking Alexandria will continue to tour throughout the year and will be working on a new album."
Danny Worsnop is focusing on his new band We Are Harlot who released their debut album end of March, and Asking Alexandria can be seen in the states on The Vans Warped Tour.
