BBC's brand new Daft Punk documentary will air later this month, it has been announced.

The feature-length special 'Daft Punk Unchained', featuring a host of famous stars including Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, and many more, will premiere on French TV station Canal+ on June 24. The film is being produced by BBC Worldwide France, after it was originally announced in 2014.

The documentary is being directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre, who is also co-writing with Marina Rozenman. A press release stated "'Daft Punk Unchained' is the first film about the pop culture phenomenon that is Daft Punk... This documentary explores this unprecidented cultural revolution revealing a duo of artists on a permanent quest for creativity, independence and freedom."

The duo's last album was the highly popular 'Random Access Memories', which released in 2013.

Meanwhile, Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo recently released a song online entitled 'Gates Of The Sun' under his Le Knight Club mantle. The track is a collaboration with the Crydamoure record label's co-founder Eric Chedeville, and features on a French film of the same name which stars Mike Tyson. This is Le Knight Club's first release since 2002.
