Morrissey has spoken out against US President Barack Obama, claiming that he 'seems to be white inside' and 'doesn't appear to support black people when they most need it'.
The Smiths turned solo icon has been on typical form of late with his tirades, slamming Michael Eavis as an 'animal eater' who 'rapes cows', calling Madonna 'bogus', attacking Ireland for its cruelty against animals, saying crowdfunding is 'desparate and insulting' and many more to boot.
Now, hes set his sights on the US President.
"Obama has mystified me because he doesn’t appear to support black people when they need it most," he told Alternative Nation. "Ferguson being an obvious example. If Michael Brown had instead been one of Obama’s daughters, I don’t think Obama would be insisting that the nation support the so-called security forces! How can they be called security forces if they make the people feel insecure?"
He continued: "Obama seems to be white inside. There is an obvious racial division in America and it’s exploding and Obama doesn’t ever support the innocent black people who are murdered by white police officers who are never held accountable. You would expect him to be more understanding of what it means to be black. But so far, he hasn’t been.
"There’s no point in continually saying that we must support the police when it is obvious to the entire world that the police in America are out of control."
Mozza also responded to Brandon Flowers recent claim that he 'stalked' him.
"The Killers covered one of my songs, 'Why Don’t You Find Out For Yourself', and I thought it was so magnificent and so carefully done, so I’ll be forever thankful to them for that, and Brandon always says good things about me in the press, which is a relief!" said Morrisey. "Yes, I think he was stalking me at a hotel a few years back, but I could see him hiding and I knew what he was doing… which was quite funny. Well, to me, anyway."
