It looks as if Bullet For My Valentine are on track to reach No.1 in the UK album chart, with only the late Cilla Black standing in their way.
The Welsh metal band released Venom on 14 August and is currently holding the top spot, one position ahead of Cilla Black’s The Very Best Of.
The album has obviously proved popular since Cilla Black’s death earlier in the month, with a number of stars paying tribute to the pop and TV icon.
Data from the Official Chart Company indicates that there is just 1,000 sales between the two records. If Bullet manage to maintain the top spot, it’ll be their first ever number-one album. 2008’s Scream Aim Fire and 2010’s Fever both peaked at the number five spot.

Another new Top ten entry at today's midweek point is the album Life's Not Out To Get You from UK pop-punk act Neck Deep. It's currently at number seven.
Former Gallows and Pure Love frontman Frank Carter has also returned to the chart with his new musical venture Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes. The band have entered at Number 13 with debut 'Blossom'.
Bullet For My Valentine will head out on an Autumn tour of more intimate venues after replacing ex-bassist Jay James with new member, Jamie Matthias. You can check out all of their live dates below. For tickets and more information, click here.
