The NFL has reportedly asked Bruno Mars to headline and 'curate' halftime show for Super Bowl 50.
Last year's performance was a glitter-soaked triumph and Katy Perry pushed the top of 'over the top' featuring a giant mechanical lion, Lenny Kravitz and the icon of 2015, Left Shark.
Up until Perry's record-breaking set, Mars' Super Bowl set was the most viewed of all time. It just so happens that more people tuned in to witness to "Uptown Funk" performer than the actual football game itself (115.3 million vs. 111.5 million people).
According to Entertainment Weekly, the NFL are now looking to fall back on Mars' consistent excellence by bringing him back for Super Bowl 50 that takes place on February 7, 2016.
Billboard also reports that Mars has been asked to "curate" the show but has no responded or commented on any of these rumours.
