Insipid celebration of utter vapidity Celebrity Big Brother is back on television - with David Bowie's ex-wife Angie entering as a contestant - and wasted no time in attacking her relationship with the Thin White Duke.
This week sees David Bowie releases one of the finest albums of his career this week, with the exquisite Blackstar. Meanwhile, 70s style icon Angie goes into a house with Darren Day, David Gest, former Eastenders actress Daniella Westbrook, X Factor reject Danny Maloney, someone called Scotty T and some other people - where they will all be filmed eating, sleeping and chatting nonsense to each other to secure the votes of the public.
Angie, who was married to Bowie between 1970 before their divorce in 1980, had a child with him - the acclaimed director Duncan Jones. The former actress and model has since spent her years as a musician, journalist and writer.
"I go to great lengths to avoid him," she said, reports The Mirror. "Did you think I was going to be polite, to be nice, so that people like me? No. It was terrible when we broke up, it was awful. He came to visit at first, and then he didn't want to visit me anymore."
Before the break-up however, she did describe their relationship as 'fun' and 'magical'. "I went and saw him at the Roundhouse, and he was fabulous, and he was the song writer, and I liked that. He wasn't a puppet," she said.
David Bowie releases Blackstar on Friday.
