Could a new Britney Spears album be on the way? Could it be a collaboration with none other than Gigwise favourites Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats? Or is she just taking part in a bizarrely soundtracked underwear campaign?
If you watch the three videos Spears posted on Instagram last night (25 January) with the sound off, you'd assume the accompanying music was some sultry, Banks-esque R&B ballad. It's not though. The monochromatic bikini-clad videos are soundtracked by Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats' 'SOB'.
The singer hasn't explained the nature of the three mysterious videos, though rumours abound that she's got a new album in the works. If it sounds like Nathaniel Rateliff, we'll be delighted.
Meanwhile, last week Britney Spears' Instagram went viral for a very different reason - she stole a photo of Mexican corn and passed it off as her own.
