Miley Cyrus is set to star in Woody Allen's forthcoming Amazon Prime TV series.
The show, which will be available exclusively to Amazon Prime users, is yet to be named - but it will be set in the 1960s. Shooting for the six-hour episodes will begin in March.
Renowned actor, director and screenwriter Elaine May will also feature in the series. May worked with Allen on 2000’s Small Time Crooks.
"Woody Allen is a visionary creator who has made some of the greatest films of all-time, and it's an honour to be working with him on his first television series," said Roy Price, Vice President of Amazon Studios, in a 2015 press statement announcing their deal with the director.
Allen himself added, "I don't know how I got into this. I have no ideas and I'm not sure where to begin. My guess is that Roy Price will regret this."
Allen’s most recent film, Magic In The Moonlight, was released in 2014, and he's known for classics such as Annie Hall, Manhattan and - more recently - Blue Jasmine.
Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus was recently name-checked in Macklemore’s new nine-minute song about white privilege, entitled 'White Privilege II'.
