Jay Z's music streaming service Tidal has announced a charity concert in New York to celebrate the service's one million subscribers.
The rapper launched his latest venture earlier this year using the financial momentum behind purchasing Swedish company Aspiro. Earlier this week, Jay Z tweeted the announcement of the Tidal Festival writing: "Nothing real can be threatened, nothing unreal exists. Tidal is platinum. 1,000,000 people and counting."
The line-up is so predictable it's almost parody. Beyoncé, Prince, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and, the man of the hour, Jigga himself will play the concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on 20 October.
Other artists confirmed for the gig include T.I, Fabolous, Damien Marley, Thomas Rhett, DJ Cipha Sounds, DJ Reflex as well as some fresher acts like Flatbush Zombies, Benjamin Booker, Bas and Justine Skye.
All profits collected from the ticket sales will be administered by New World Foundation on behalf of Tidal, who will match 100% of all net gross proceeds during the pre-sale period. The show will be streamed on Tidal with both account holders and non-subscribes having access to the stream.

In other Tidal news, Arcade Fire's Win Butler has opened up about his involvement within the company and admitted that while the band's contribution was valid, the streaming service's launch was "poorly managed".
"None of the artists knew anything about the PR," he admitted. "It was a poorly managed launch, but conceptually the thing that we liked about Tidal was that it’s HD streaming quality."
