The literary hero, who found fame during the punk era supporting the likes of The Buzzcocks and The Sex Pistols, has inspired generations of writers and lyricists - including Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner who described him as his 'hero' and even turned his poem 'I Wanna Be Yours' into a song their massive 2013 album, AM.
