The many highs and lows of Kanye West's weekend

The rapper has, as usual, had quite the eventful few days

If you think you had a busy, rollercoaster of a weekend, spare a thought for Kanye West.

Between auditioning for American Idol, discovering the horrors of in-app purchases, and being lectured by Barack Obama (who does he think he is?) Kanye has had quite the couple of days.

First, the rapper took to Twitter to vent his anger over the amount of in-app purchases on children's iPad games. Somehow, not a problem we imagined him concerning himself with.

Naturally, the fact that his wife Kim Kardashian is guilty of the very same thing in her own app smacks of hypocrisy...

Then came the Twitter hate:

Next, the rapper's hopes of becoming the next US president were cruelly dashed by Barack Obama. "First of all," he explained, "you've got to spend a lot of time dealing with some strange characters who behave like they're on a reality TV show. So you've just to be cool with that."

He added, "Do you really think that this country is going to elect a black guy from the South Side of Chicago with a funny name to be president of the United States? That is crazy. That's cray!"

Lastly, West decided to amp up the stress levels by auditioning for American Idol with an a capella version of 'Gold Digger'.

We hope he got through to the next round. He deserves a break after the weekend he's had.
