This one is definitely for fans of Mumford & Sons and The Mountain Goats, Birmingham quintet, Boat To Row have a cuddling warmth to their folk stylings which is perfect for staring at low-setting suns through frosty windows.

The band's debut album was recorded over two years, a labour of love to be sure, onto 16 track tape because of the warm imperfections the recording process captures. Maybe that's the secret behind Boat to Row's allure, their recording style. But combined with timeless storytelling and oakey aesthetics, what begins as an admirable heat eventually enraptures.

'Turn the Page' follows a solitary wanderer as he, with apparent aimlessness, explores the barren backwaters of an industrial estate looking for a purpose, or a person, it's not entirely clear as it stirs a beautiful unknowing.
