More about:

Frank Turner will be taking a break from his US run on tour for his new album, Positive Songs For Negative People and play a one off show at London’s Union Chapel in aid of Shelter.

The ever rising folk-rock artist will be joined by Ben Marwood and Lewis Bootle at the Union Chapel on 19 December.

Shelter is an incredibly worthy cause to be raising money for, with the charity tackling the ever growing problem of homelessness and bad housing which is currently rife across the country. Check out their mission statement below.

"Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through our advice, support and legal services. And we campaign to make sure that one day, no one will have to turn to us for help. We’re here so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own."

The website also explains that over 100,000 children will be homeless this Christmas and the charity is urging people to donate whatever they can to help the cause.

Head here to enter a ballot which will be closing at 12pm on 3 December. Tickets are priced priced at £30 and limited to four per person.

Frank Turner is currently on a world tour for Positive Songs For Negative People. You can take a peek at our review for the rousing LP if you wish. We spoke to the singer-songwriter at the end of last year just after he'd played his mind boggling 1629th gig, and he had plenty to say about his long career.

He played London's Alexandra Palace last night, so we've got no idea what ridiculous number he's on now.
