A batch of brand new names have been added to Download Festival’s 2016 line-up, including Glaswegian rock outfit Twin Atlantic and ex- Gallows man Frank Carter And The Rattlesnakes. The Donington Park event, an important date on the calendar for fans of the heavier side of rock music, seems to be taking shape very nicely.

Also featuring amongst the 33 new confirmed acts are metalcore stars Architects and festival favourites Skindred, who will bring their brand of reggae infused rock to a monster weekend of music beginning Friday 10 June.

Who's been added to Download Festival?

Friday 10 June: The Amity Affliction, Counting Days, Gutterdämmerung, Havok, Killswitch Engage, Skillet, Twin Atlantic, Fort Hope.

Saturday 11 June: Architects, Atreyu, Beartooth, Black Foxxes, Dead!, Down, Milk Teeth, Neck Deep, Rival Sons, Skindred, TesseracT, Lawnmower Deth.

Sunday 12 June: Attila, Billy Talent, Breaking Benjamin, Delain, Don Broco, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Ghost, Gojira, Halestorm, Ho99o9, Saxon, Shinedown, Tremonti.

These names join the already huge line-up, consisting of festival closers Iron Maiden, a Friday night topped by Rammstein and Saturday’s legendary headliners Black Sabbath on their farewell tour.
