Beyonce will join Coldplay on-stage during their forthcoming Super Bowl halftime show next month, it has been confirmed.
The band, who released their seventh album A Head Full Of Dreams at the tail-end of last year, are set to follow in the likes of The Rolling Stones, Prince, Madonna - and Beyonce herself, when they play the halftime show of one of the biggest US sporting events of the year.
The news was met with a mixed response, to say the least, as football fans took to Twitter to voice their upset.
It's perhaps lucky, then, that they won't have to hold their own alone. It's been confirmed by the event's sponsors Pepsi that Beyonce will join the band during the performance. She'll presumably appear for Coldplay's 'Hymn For The Weekend', on which she features, and probably a couple more surprises.
Other rumours for the show - that they'll also be joined by Rihanna and Bruno Mars - are yet to be confirmed, though we're keeping our fingers crossed for the former. We'll just have to find out on 7 February, when the Super Bowl takes place.
