Blink-182's Travis Barker came down with a fever during a Las Vegas show over the weekend, and was told by paramedics that he should go to hospital immediately. Instead, he completed the show, telling them he'd play "till I either pass out, throw up or die."

It's what some would call a true rock 'n roll story - though it's made slightly less so by the fact that Barker took to Facebook to boast about his own resilience.

Following the show, which took place at Hyde Bellagio in Las Vegas on Saturday (2 January), the drummer wrote, "I had a 104 temp and was severely nauseous and dizzy. The paramedics demanded I not play and go to the hospital asap. I said I'm playing till I either pass out, throw up or die.

"Met so many of you guys at sound check that came from Mexico, Australia, etc. and there was no way I was gonna let you guys down. I got thru my entire set and I appreciate all the love."

Meanwhile, Barker recently revealed that a new Blink-182 album is set to appear in 2016 - the band's first since the departure of Tom DeLonge last year. He's also working on a solo album.
