The rumours for the Glastonbury Festival 2016 line-up continue to circulate, now with Bee Gees' legend Barry Gibb tipped to play the Sunday legends slot.

Glastonbury have already announced that Jeff Lynne's ELO will be performing in the renowned spot on the Pyramid Stage on the Sunday - following in the footsteps of already historic performances from the likes of Dolly Parton and Lionel Richie.

Now, however, sources claim that there will be two 'legends' performing on the Sunday - with the Bee Gees' Barry Gibb now tipped to perform too.

"The legend slot on the Sunday has become more talked about than the headliners in recent years due to Dolly and Lionel, and the pressure is on Michael this year," a 'source' told The Sun. "He wants a repeat of 2008 where he had Neil Diamond and Leonard Cohen booked as a double whammy. Neil was the official legend that year but Leonard blew punters away. Barry is a music legend and has so many songs that will lift the crowd. Playing the main stage with his disco tunes would be amazing.

"He has been asked previously a couple of years ago but Michael has made it his mission to get him to perform this year. Barry’s planning a new album for this year and a Glastonbury performance would coincide with that."

Barry Gibb is the only surviving member of The Bee Gees, after the passing of his brothers Maurice and Robin. It would be pretty sweet to hear the likes of 'Night Fever', 'Stayin' Alive' and 'How Deep Is Your Love' playing over the fields of Worthy Farm.

Meanwhile, fans are also planning a mass David Bowie tribute at Glastonbury

Glastonbury Festival is set to take place from 22 - 26 June. While ZZ Top seem set to playMuse have been named as bookies' favourites to headline, after the band teased that they are 'hoping to' perform next year. Foo Fighters were reportedly booked to appear in 2016 - after pulling out of their performance this summer due to Dave Grohl breaking his leg.

Adele and Coldplay are also favourites to headline, alongside Foo Fighters and Coldplay - while Rod Stewart and Leo Sayer have also voiced their ambitions to appear.
