Another new festival has called it a day, with Forgotten Fields festival 2016 cancelled due to 'rising costs'.
The acclaimed Tunbridge Wells festival enjoyed its innaugural event last year, with the likes of Basement Jaxx and Super Furry Animals - read our review here.
This year, the line-up for the 4,000-capacity event included Suede, Kodaline, and Dizzee Rascal, plus Kelis, Maximo Park, The Sugarhill Gang, Band Of Skulls and many more, but Forgotten Fields have since issued the following statement calling it off:
"Dear festival goers,
"We are hugely saddened to let you know that Forgotten Fields 2016 is no longer going ahead.
"It’s with heavy hearts that we let you know news of this cancellation and would like to thank you for your support of the event.
"Due to the rising costs of producing a quality event of this size, we are unable to produce a show that is of the standard both our team and customers would be proud of.
"After thorough consideration of the event and exhausting all options we have sadly reached this conclusion. It was an exceptionally difficult decision to make and hasn’t been taken lightly.
"We had a truly amazing time and weekend to remember in 2015, lifelong memories shared with lovely people in the fields, and we wish all the festival goers and team well for the coming festival season.
"Yours regretfully,
"The Forgotten Fields Team"
