Eagles Of Death Metal have cancelled the remainder of their European tour dates, after Jesse Hughes tore a tendon in his finger.

The band had already postponed their European dates once after their show in Paris was attacked by terrorists. They were performing at the Bataclan back in November, when Islamic extremists burst in with guns, killing nearly 90 people and injuring many more. While the band themselves were unharmed, the incident - as they explained in an interview with Vice - was a harrowing one.

Earlier this month, they played their first live shows since the attacks, including a show that saw the band return to Paris for an emotional performance to survivors at the Olympia. Josh Homme, who rarely performs live with the band and wasn't there during the attacks, showed up to perform in solidarity.

Now though, they've been forced to cancel their European dates once again, after founder Jesse Hughes developed an injury in his finger.

A statement on the band's Facebook reads, "Eagles of Death Metal has regrettably been forced to cancel the remainder of their European tour due to founder Jesse Hughes tearing a tendon in his finger."

It continues, "Hughes has tried to play through the injury during the current tour, but doctors have advised that the only way to properly heal it is to stop playing now, or risk further injury and having to cancel several weeks worth of shows."

Hughes himself added, "I’m devastated that we cannot continue what has been a life-changing return to Europe, but I need to get repaired so we can continue to play rock music around this beautiful world, including coming back to Europe even stronger in the summer."

Eagles Of Death Metal have cancelled the remaining eight dates of the current European run.
