Rolling Stones' former bassist, Bill Wyman, has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, a spokesperson has revealed.
In a statement, Wyman's representative said, "He is undergoing treatment and is expected to make a full recovery as it was caught in the early stages."
The 79-year-old was in the Stones for over 30 years, from its year of inception in 1962 (he replaced The Pretty Things' Dick Taylor, who was only in the band for a few months) until 1993, when he decided to leave and was replaced by Darryl Jones.
Since then, he's recorded and toured with his own band, Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, and has also scored music for films and television.
Wyman's family have "asked for their privacy during this time."
