Sharon Osbourne has confirmed reports that she has split with Back Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne after 33 years of marriage, saying, “I’m 63 years of age and I can’t keep living like this.”
The pair have been married since 1982, and have three children together - though their relationship has been notoriously turbulent, with numerous physical altercations throughout their marriage.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the pair had “mutually agreed” to part ways amid claims that Ozzy had an affair with celebrity hairdresser, Michelle Pugh.
After being absent from her regular slot as co-host of US TV show The Talk on Monday, Sharon returned yesterday, and confirmed the reports. “It’s true,” she said, adding, “I’m not with him. I just need time to really think about myself… what do I really want for the rest of my life.”
When asked by her co-host Sara Gilbert why she had decided to end the marriage now, despite weathering many rough patches in the past, she said, “I’m 63 years of age and I can’t keep living like this.”
Meanwhile, 2016 sees Black Sabbath embark on their 'final ever tour' - including headlining Download Festival alongside Iron Maiden and Rammstein.
