Yesterday, just a few hours after the video for ‘Me Too’ was released, Meghan Trainor took it down after realising they had “photoshopped the crap out of me.” Now, she’s revealed just how much her waist was digitally altered.
The video included shots of Trainor dancing in a figure-hugging blue dress - but her waist had been edited to appear significantly smaller.
"I took down the 'Me Too' video because they Photoshopped the crap out of me,” she revealed via Snapchat. "And I’m so sick of it and I’m over it, so I took it down until they fix it. My waist is not that teeny, I had a bomb waist that night. I don’t know why they didn’t like my waist, but I didn’t approve that video and it went out for the world, so I’m embarrassed…”
She added, "The video is still one of my favorite videos I’ve ever done, I’m very proud of it. I just am pissed off that they broke my ribs, you know?”
She’s since re-uploaded the video in its original, un-photoshopped form, and posted a photo comparing the two versions. It’s quite shocking.
Appearing on Howard Stern yesterday, Trainor explained, "I'm the poster child for no Photoshop. That’s my thing. I was skinnier than those dancers, who are also very skinny, so when you do that, everyone knows that ain't real.”
