The world of music - including Ringo Starr and Liam Gallagher - have paid tribute to 'fifth Beatle' George Martin, following his death at the age of 90.
The record producer, who signed the Beatles and has worked with the likes of Shirley Bassey, Cilla Black and Gerry And The Pacemakers, produced more than 700 records over his career.
News of his death was confirmed by The Beatles' drummer Ringo Starr, who wrote, "God bless George Martin peace and love to Judyand his family love Ringo and Barbara George will be missed xxx"
John Lennon's son George commented shortly afterwards, "R.I.P. George Martin. I'm so gutted I don't have many words. Thinking of Judy and Giles and family."
Since then, many people from the world of music and beyond have paid tribute to Martin.
