Liam Gallagher has responded to claims that he has retired from music for good, after rumours that the former Oasis man and Pretty Green designer told fans he would not be releasing any new music.

Gallagher has not released any new music since Beady Eye split in 2014, but did perform on stage as part of a tribute to The Who and sing a new song that namechecked brother Noel when he appeared at a pub in Ireland

Many had come to believe that he'd retired from music for good to focus on his fashion label, Pretty Green, as he recently told fans that he wouldn't be releasing a solo album 'because he's not a c**t'. Also, during an epic Twitter tirade and rant during the BRIT Awards he said 'music in the UK has been abducted by massive c**ts...thank fuck I got out when I got out'

The Sun then claimed that he told fans in London: "I am retired now. I can write 25 songs but all of them will be a shit".

However, a spokesman for Gallagher has since responded: "In true tabloid style it's not true."

Liam recently made headlines when it was revealed that he once 'threatened to stab Sacha Baron Cohen in the eye' - before clarifying that it was in fact, both eyes
