It’s been a little while since we’ve heard anything from Just Jack, but new single ‘Alchemist’ and the announcement of a new EP mark the return of the Camden-born singer/songwriter.
Written about “the internal and external battles you have when you’re bringing up kids,” ‘Alchemist’ is a mellow offering that sticks to the monotone Just Jack formula we all fell in love with when he exploded onto the scene back in 2007 with his smash hit ‘Starz In Their Eyez’.
‘Alchemist’ is taken from Jack's upcoming new EP Life Lessons. Set to be released on Elton John’s Rocket Records, with support from his Rocket Hour Beats 1 Radio show, the EP is the follow-up to 2014’s Winning EP. Recorded and produced by Jack in his Brighton studio with frequent collaborator Jon Cox, it was apparently written on a diet of Frank Ocean, Pete Rock, Francis and the Lights, Leon Vynehall, Glen Campbell and The Beatles.
