In other, less important Morrissey news, fans recently had their hopes dashed when a newly activated Smiths Twitter account turned out to be “purely to celebrate the history and the music of The Smiths.“
Morrissey subsequently weighed in, taking to fan-site and official mouth-piece True-To-You to say: "A Smiths/Morrissey Google alerts/Twitter account has been opened by Warner UK. Morrissey would like to stress that this account has not been sanctioned by him and has no connection to him. Follow it at your peril."
Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr on the other hand, is set to hit the road with Hans Zimmer. Hans Zimmer's upcoming tour dates are as follows, with the ones featuring Johnny Marr marked with an asterix*. Buy tickets and get more information here.
