The reunited LCD Soundsystem made their return to the festival scene, taking to the stage to headline Coachella 2016 and even covering David Bowie and Guns N' Roses in the process. Check out footage from the show, and the setlist below.

James Murphy and co made their live return with two surprise shows in New York last month, warming up for their two weekends at their long-awaited and hotly-anticipated headline shows at Coachella in California.

The first of which kicked off last night, with the This Is Happening stars performing a career-spanning, hit-packed set. While the band have convirmed that they've been working on a new album, no new material was played -  they did however, play a snippet of 'November Rain' mixed in with 'New York I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down', in honour of fellow headliners Guns N' Roses. The real highlight came though, when the band performed a beautiful cover of 'Heroes' by David Bowie.

Murphy had a history of collaboration with Bowie - producing Arcade Fire's Reflektor, which the Thin White Duke guested on, being remixing The Next Day's 'Love Is Lost', before covering 'Golden Years' for the While We're Young soundtrack, and performing percussion on Bowie's final album, Blackstar

LCD Soundsystem played:
Us v Them
Daft Punk Is Playing at My House
I Can Change
Get Innocuous!
You Wanted a Hit
Tribulations
Movement
Yeah
Someone Great
Losing My Edge
Home
New York, I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down (November Rain interpolation)
Dance Yrself Clean
"Heroes" (David Bowie cover)
All My Friends

We're curious to see what else they bring out from their canon when they take to the stage at Coachella next month - with festivals such as Primavera Sound, Lovebox and Glastonbury to follow later this summer.
