Liam Gallagher has watched the new Oasis documentary - made by the team that worked on last year's Oscar-nominated Amy Winehouse film - ahead of its official release.
This morning Liam Gallagher tweeted about seeing an early version of the film, stating "Just seen the 1st cut of the OASIS film BIBLICAL what ever happened to my ROCKNROLL LG x".

Titled Oasis - The Rock 'N' Roll Band That Defined A Generation, the film will chronicle the band’s rise to fame and the brother's infamous feud. Speaking to GQ, Gallagher said that large portions had to be edited out: "We have all this footage from behind the scenes leading up to the gigs, most of which can’t be used as there’s just monstrous drug taking".
The filmmakers have reportedly been given unprecedented access to unseen archive footage, with both Noel and Liam Gallagher agreeing to talk about their favourite memories, and offer insights on key events in the band's history.
Mat Whitecross has been named as the director, having helmed a number of Coldplay videos and the 2012 film Spike Island. Asif Kapadia will act as executive-director on the film. Kapadia's critically acclaimed Amy became the second biggest documentary ever at the UK box office grossing £3.44million.
Oasis disbanded in 2009, though rumours did circulate about the band reforming for this year's Glastonbury. However, these were quickly debunked after Gallagher told The Daily Star, "They don't have enough money, I'm afraid. That's the bottom line, they just don't pay enough".
