Tegan And Sara have unveiled their huge new single, 'Stop Desire'. Check it out below.
‘Stop Desire’ is the third song that we have heard from the forthcoming album, Love You To Death - which is due in June. The Quin sisters have given fans a handful of songs to wet their appetite, having previously shared the lead single ‘Boyfriend’, ‘U-Turn’, and ‘100X’ before unveiling ‘Stop Desire’.
The song itself debuted on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show, and it’s about wanting someone to take the hint and declare devotion. “Take this passion, turn it into action”, the song slowly builds to an anthemic hook. But it has dreamy, luminescent pop music at its core with flickers of trembling synths and a vocal that cuts straight through the music.
The duo’s last album, 2013’s ‘Heartthrob’ became their most successful yet, peaking its head at No.3 in the US album charts. Both Heartthrob and Love You To Death feature production from Greg Kurstin, who has worked with Adele, Lily Allen and Kylie Minogue.
Tegan & Sara release Love You To Death on 3 June, before performing at Koko in London on Wednesday 22 June. Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday 29 June, and will be available here.
