Kaiser Chiefs are back, unveiling huge single 'Parachute' from new album Stay Together and announcing a huge London show as part of their upcoming UK tour. Full dates are below and tickets are available here.
With a clear, fresh clean sound and open, airy electro production, 'Parachute' leans almost towards a dance-lite sound - and is by far their most universal and pop release to date. With shades of both Take That and Calvin Harris, it's an interesting signpost to where they're heading on their new Brian Higgins-produced album, Stay Together - due for release on 7 October.
“When we finished writing the last record we realised that the most important thing to everyone is what’s going on in their lives," said frontman Ricky Wilson. "Their 'personal politics' and that’s what this album is about. If Education, Education, Education & War was our protest album, then Stay Together is our relationship album.
"Brian brought a very different approach to song writing and recording, it was a steep learning curve but together we tried out new ideas and sounds and ended up with a new and fresh sounding Kaiser Chiefs album. Like no Kaiser Chiefs record you have heard before.”
