Following on from his legends slot performance at Glastonbury, Jeff Lynne’s ELO has announced a one-off show at Wembley Stadium next summer. Get tickets and more information here.
The singer followed in the footsteps of Dolly Parton and Lionel Ritchie to perform the Sunday afternoon slot at the Worthy Farm festival this weekend, backed by a full string section.
Though the crowd didn’t quite match that of his predecessors in size, he won over the unfamiliar with the likes of ‘Roll Over Beethoven’ and ‘Mr Blue Sky’ - though there was no blue sky to be seen.
He’s now announced a show at London’s Wembley Stadium in almost exactly a year’s time, on 24 June 2017.
Tickets for Jeff Lynne’s ELO’s Wembley Stadium show, which takes place on Saturday 24 June, go on sale this Friday (1 July) at 9am. Get tickets and more information here.
