The best-selling album of all time in the UK has been revealed - and it’s Queen’s 1981 Greatest Hits.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the album chart, the Official Charts Company has unveiled the 60 best-selling albums of all time in Britain. The only album to have sold over six million copies, and thus the No.1 album, is Queen’s classic compilation album.

There’s another greatest hits at No.2 - Abba’s Gold, while The Beatles’ Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band completes the top three. By far the most recent album in the top 10 is Adele’s 21, which comes in at No.4.
