You heard the rumour here first folks. The newly rejuvenated US rock band Gun ‘n’ Roses are more than likely to headline the annual Glastonbury event in 2017.
We may have kick-started the rumour mills a few weeks ago, but now the bookies are on-board with us as well. Many have scrapped the option to bet on who will head up the inevitably mixed bag of top bands at what is one of the UK's major festivals.

Interest in having a flutter on the band has escalated recently and saw their odds reduced to 1-5 for an appearance at the already sold-out festival. Bookmakers have now suspended such bets as interest got too intense.
The band are back together and not only earning mega money, but selling out arenas to such a degree that they have extended their original tour and have it seems plans to continue their working relationship well into 2017.
Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagen are back together and doing what they do best. Maybe it took 20-something years to let any bad blood settle, but now the unit are as tight as ever.
A Glastonbury slot would surely see them re-established as one of rock most iconic groups ever.
As usual tickets for the event sold-out in mere minutes and before any bands or performers have been announced.
There was an issue with the ticket website crashing and many potential festival goers have complained, but the promoters are happy that yet again they have a sell-out on their hands.
Perhaps G’n’R will use the event to launch a new album and showcase some songs from it?
Other bands tipped to appear are, Radiohead, The Foo Fighters, Kasabian, Lady Gaga, The Stone Roses, Daft Punk, Gorrilaz and Kraftwerk.
Of these potentials the odds look good for Dave Grohl’s Foo Fighters, they of course had to pull out of the 2015 event due to him breaking his leg. This could be their big return.
Damon Albarn has been teasing more live shows by Gorrilaz and they do have a new album to promote.
German’s Kraftwerk are on tour in the UK prior to the festival and would be perfectly suited to the event.
As ever the full line-up will be drip fed to fans Guns ‘n’ Roses are the name on everyone’s lips.
The band have also been hyped up for a slot at Download and other key UK events in 2017.
According to Richard Fortus in recent interviews (who rejoined the band for this recent tour) there will be new material available very soon too.
