Guy Garvey is to sell his modest four bedroom semi-detached Prestwich house, but will not be leaving the city of Manchester.
Garvey, who is from Bury originally, has lived in the Victorian house long-term and even records his Radio 6 show from the attic.
It's no surprise then, that after the house has been put up for sale, there has been a flurry of interest.
But it will take some deep digging to get the house to be your own, after all, it costs somewhere in the region of £500,000.
Though they are succesful musicians, Garvey and his band still live in the city, and are rather modestly, often seen out and about on the town.
Whilst Garvey has married his long-term partner, Rachel Stirling, who is often based in London, a spokesman for the singer has said he will not be switching for the south.
The spokesman said: “Guy definitely won’t be leaving anytime soon, and is in fact moving back to the city centre, where he had lived previously.”
With a handful of double bedrooms, and three reception areas, there is more than enough space to have friends over.
Not only that, but with Garvey's part-time hobbie being a birdwatcher, the kitchen opens out to the garden, so if you too enjoy that, this could just be the place for you.
