After video footage emerged of their security team elbowing fans, and threatening to fight them, Fifth Harmony have released a statement defending them.

In one video, a security guard can be seen sharply elbowing a woman trying to get a picture with one of the band’s members, while another - according to a questionable translation - seems to show a guard threatening to fight two women.

The band subsequently released a statement saying, “We do not appreciate people lying about our team and costing people their jobs just so they can get extra attention from us. We’d appreciate if you recognized that when you disrespect our team and their hard work, you’re disrespecting us.”

The statement did not go down well.
