Slipknot’s Corey Taylor smacked the phone out of a texting fan’s hand during a show the other day - and the video footage has since gone viral.
The frontman was in the middle of a song when he noticed a fan in the front row whose eyes were glued to his phone screen. He wandered over, bent down and smacked it to the floor before continuing.

Taylor subsequently took to Twitter to justify his somewhat drastic action.
Fair enough. But you might wanna do it between sets or between songs. Am I right? https://t.co/JYy08vxHNg

Okay. But it doesn't mean I w/ a broken neck & still playing a show can't get pissed that someone's ignoring it. https://t.co/NRcJYhE0sc

Speaking to WRIF radio, Taylor said, "So many people have their faces glued to their phones and they're not paying attention, I point and laugh anytime I see somebody trip walking down the street.”
