More about: Taylor Swift
In what must be an exhaustively busy week for Taylor Swift's legal team, now they've stepped in after a graffiti artist pronounced her as dead in a new mural.
Firstly, we'd like to note that Taylor Swift is not literally dead, as far as we're aware.
After coming to blows with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West this week over the ongoing feud around the 'Famous' lyric, her reputation in the public eye took another blow after recent spats with the likes of Calvin Harris and Katy Perry.
So much so, that Australian graffiti artist Lushsux created this mural in memory her career, from 1989 - 2016. While the image clearly depicts Swift, he was wise to name her as 'Taylor Smith'.
He then took to Instagram to reveal that her legal team had been in touch, saying: "Taylor Smith's attorney has emailed me with a threat of legal action if I do not remove my wall relating to her."
However, before he could amend it himself, someone else took it upon themselves to modify the art to instead depict the sadly killed Cincinnati ape, Harambe...
The track from The Life Of Pablo caused controversy, not least because of the video that depicts Swift naked, but largely for the lyric: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that bitch famous" - referring to West interrupting her speech at the 2009 VMAs.
Swift then responded to the line at the Grammys when she said: “As the first woman to win Album Of The Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there there are going to be people along the way who are going to try and undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or you fame."
