Deftones have announced a spring 2017 tour of Western Europe starting in Austria and finishing in Scotland.
The band, who reviewer Ross McTaggart described as "One of rock's most important bands [...] with a brutal yet beautiful alt-metal sound" already played a huge set at Download and Wembley Arena this year.
Next year, they return to more intiamte surrounds taking in some of Britain's best sounding venues in Apollo Manchester, Alexandra Palace London, and SSE Glasgow. It's an incerdible opportunity to see their beautiful tapestry of layered heavy sound come across in the best possible conditions.
Their 2015 European tour was marred by tragedy as the band were in the Bataclan, Paris during the attacks. They understandably returned to the US to be with their loved ones after that.
Deftones have said they will return to Paris when the time is right but have not scheduled any French shows on this tour.
The Sacremento, CA-based group made history this year as singer Chino Moreno performed inside a volcano in Reykjavik, Iceland over the weekend, becoming the first musician to achieve the feat. Fans paid £1380, trekked for two hours over a lava field and watched him play three songs.
Deftones will play the following. Tickets are available 9am Friday 28 October.
