The line-up at Roskilde, Denmark’s premier festival, has swollen in size with the announcement that Father John Misty – alongside another 24 artists from 13 different countries – has joined the previously announced Foo Fighters, The Weeknd and Arcade Fire.
Speaking of the additions, Roskilde Festival’s Head of Programme Anders Wahrén said: “Father John Misty played a triumphant show at Roskilde Festival two years ago, and since then he’s grown a lot. We can’t wait for him to take the next step when he plays our biggest stage, the Orange Stage, where legends have been created over the last decades.”
He continued: ”From Sahara to Iceland, these new acts span a lot of countries and styles. This kind of diversity is what we’re all about, and we’re very excited that our fans get the chance to experience a lot of music they didn’t know they were going to love.”
The Roskilde festival has been existence since 1971 has gone on to become one of mainland Europe’s biggest festivals. It was taken over by the Roskilde Foundation in 1972, which has since run the festival as a non-profit organization for development and support of music, culture and humanism.

Solange, Lorde, Trentemøller, A Tribe Called Quest, G-Eazy, Moderat/Modeselektor (playing together for the first time ever), Blink-182 and Justice are among the acts already confirmed for Roskilde Festival 2017.
A total of 94 acts have now been announced. The full line-up will be revealed in April with 80 new acts.
